Where to get driveshaft extended? G/S

Hey all,

I got a TAG swingarm and need to get my driveshaft extended. I've emailed a couple of shops who friction weld and one said no and the other never got back to me.

Where did you get your monolever drive shaft extended? I'd prefer to get it friction welded like the HPN bikes, seems to make the most sense.

There's an inmate named Quedok that does it. I've seen one of the shafts he made and it looks great. It's in a friend's bike now and working great.

Good score on that TAG swingarm!

You might want to talk with ras about getting the rear end sorted when you get to bolting it all together... I think some shock adjustment was required.

TAG have a "stub" shaft that is made to allow for an easy weld onto the original (see photo). I got TAG to do this as I did not have my own mono driveshaft (I was going from 100GS paralever to extended monolever). I had got a second hand WP rear shock that I had reconditioned once the bike was up and running. Am currently stoked by the set-up.

Yeah I ordered the same one from TAG. Thanks all I'll check in with the forum member. Some of the Vmax guys used a shop out in the east bay(Pittsburg, CA) I'll give them a call monday.

Beater is the guy who got the shaft from him. You can drop him a line and get more info about it. He's done it a few times now.

He better not reply for at least 2 days though. He's at Bonaroo. I'm pretty sure Jerry Garcia would come back from the dead to smash his guitar if he was trolling the internet at Bonaroo.
