Neither of the desert rose guys made it back....
Stanfeild and the Aussie on his team withdrew from the race during yesterdays special..... Was raining last night and cooler...snow at elevation maybe.... This valley is clear and the sun just rose, dark clouds over all the hills though. Might "be interesting" for the bikes today. If there is too much snow there is a rumor we may stay here for another day. Off to get cleaned up and get some coffee. Go Ned Go!!!!

Ned just left the bivouac
Snowmobile pants, handlebar muffs, etc......very strange to see folks in the desert dressed up for winter conditions. The support vehicles leave after all the racers today so Ned will be at the next bivouac in Copiapo long before we get there. Stoked to see the Andes today
