Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity

Maybe you are right...... if Rossi found himself hounded by a 19 y.o. on a Moto2 bike, THAT would really wake Ducati up..

Oh, they've been awake for a year now. I'm starting to think they're just lacking the technical know-how to solve the problem. Even with the outside firm that's building the frames for them now.

Have they started to build engines that are narrower than 90deg yet?

It sounds like the narrow angle engine will arrive at Laguna Seca. Oh, and according to Prezosi; Rossi and Burgess are in charge of all development now.

So has Ducati ever built an inline 4 before?

Classic Italian passion over all else: The angle of the engine has (to date) been off the table, because some feel "it's not a Ducati if it's not 90deg."

Japanese engineering: Question everything. Go where the data points you.

WooHoo I'll get to see Rossi battling with the front runners in person

Oh and headlines sell papers. Would you have read that if it said Rossi finished 7th and nothing new is going on...

Yeah, maybe if Honda and Yamaha switch to a carbon fiber frame...

Ducati only builds twins for street use, so the whole L-4 motor is not part of their history. I would hope that being competitive is more important than the engine architecture to the majority of the Ducatisti.

Just another reason why I question why Ducati is in MotoGP.

Honda's V-5 was used on how many street bikes? The whole it must be the same philosophy is silly.
