That was some good racing. Go Nicky with his top ten finish. Woot Woot.

Finally..multiple races going on, including at the front. Looks like tire management is something that will have to be paid attention to, for a certain champion.

Damn right!
I gave my password to a friend a few years back so I know you can split the cost with someone.

$140 is not in my price range... which also eliminates cable TV.

Back to the (free) loving arms of the live streaming internet (with all its ads, pixels, choppy video and constantly broken streams).

Those guys are so amazing and you actually learn so much tech during a race weekend. I was a bit sick so just watched every practice, qualifying, wu and race. I can't say enough good things about Eurosport, Spaulders is a weath of tech and rattles off so much great bike info that your head spins..

Very magnanimous of him to continue racing even though he knew he wasn't going to get a podium.

Having said all that though, I do hope he gets his crap together, I would love to see him back at the pointy end and full of grins, and on a Ducketty would be gold for both.

Well done Nicky!

Maybe cupcake needs a shrink to help his riding.

It is really sad to see Rossi so down and out... can't blame him though.

Fighting so hard for a mid pack finish would be hard to handle for so many races after winning for so many years.

Rossi, from that article:

"I tried to be a professional. When Barbera pushed me out I even considered returning to the pits, but then I stayed out in order to give our technicians some data to study so as to improve things."

That is about as despondent as it gets for an uninjured pro racer, I imagine.

He also confesses that he feels he can't ride the bike even as well as the other Ducati riders.

Maybe that admission will take some weight off his shoulders. Hope he bounces back.

Hayden did a great job, but it didn't look like his bike was working all that well either.

The few glimpses I got of Rossi when he could still see Hayden's group it looked like Rossi was hanging the rear way out just to stay almost in touch. That would be dispiriting.

While Rossi said an earlier clash with Hector Barbera was a factor in his Qatar result
I don't believe this part. I kept my eye on the online times and he was constantly losing time to Barbera. Went from 4 seconds from the moment I started tracking times to almost 10 seconds when Barbera ran wide at the end of the race. This was after the incident and he lost the 6-7 seconds to Barbera in about 15 laps.

He was slow, nothing more, nothing less. It is not nice to blame a guy on a satellite bike for your poor form. Wonder what kind of treatment will Hector receive after this race. He is now Rossi's scapegoat for Qatar.

Factors in his Qatar result were Ben's problems and Abraham's mechanical DNF. He should thank his lucky stars for those.

Somewhere in Italy, Marco Melandri is laughing his ass off right about now.

One things for sure , we know Rossi won't be on a Ducati next year !
Wonder if he will stick around & will it be on a Honda or Yamaha ?
