We are 4 weeks out for the start of the Arkansas 500. If you click on the first page I have listed all paid riders. Tonight I will update the list with everyone who signed up and committed, but have not paid yet. Now is a good time to go ahead and visit www.arkansas500.com and go to the sign up page and click on the paypal button. See everyone in a month!

For those of you waiting on the weather, the ride is rain or shine! Get Tough!

I read the rules to this ride a while back and it seems that there are too many rules. Can you really not pass anyone? This could ruin a ride if you get stuck behind a slow poke. NO offense to anyone but I want to know before we go all the way down there and then piss everyone off.

We ride narrow roads, but of course you can pass in a good area...safely. Just be safe and friendly about it. We are going to split into groups of people who have a similar skill level. Also, I stop at scenic areas and cool river/creek crossings and just hand out and enjoy the scenery a bit. If you are proficient with a gps and load the routes/tracks when they become available then you can ride at your own pace.

New rules Chuck, dont ask about someone being banned! You might PM a mod.

EDIT, I looked back on his posts, I dont see anything offensive. I wonder if Scotty typed banned in there?

Where's a FAQ or the Rules page? I may need to read-up... didn't see a reason for him being vaporized... so need to learn what's taboo.

I was following this thread with interest... had the outside hope I could fit in a day or two with them.

he tried to promote the ride in other threads through out ADV and his email shows to be the AR500 website and it looks like he is trying to raise funds for himself etc..and so he looks to be a spammer to the mods...I have been in contact with a MOD abt this and their word is final in this so Scotty got the boot.

The AR 500 really should have been put up in the ANNUAL RALLY's section and that way, anyone and everyone from anywhere could have found it and attended insted of posting it in various threads...is this the end of the AR 500? I don't know..probably tho.
