My Oz CRF 250L came with a steel tank. Seems Mr Dog has the only plastic one around.:)

Test ride

I'm here in uk,took one out for test ride loved it,been reading this thread that's what made me decide to test ride, pick it up in December can't wait,it will give my Xcode a rest from going over,it's in full rally speck and I'm only 5-2 in height so the 250 suits me as I can touch the floor with one foot still sitting on seat not like the XC with my leg hanging on to the seat, roll on December

Ramz....can ask around if u want bro, it'll be ex Honda so be stupid expensive.

thought the CRF250L's were ALL plastic? fuckin wierd.

anyways..yeah, feels super wierd to be rippin into a week old bike, i definitely DONT have the EVAP crap on mine. dunno how we get away with it, as it obviously needs it to run (not a fan of the FI, but a definite improvement over my 04 XR250, which also had a plastic tank). all this talk of Programmers and pipes and air filters is doin my head in,

will havta go have a lie down.

suspect that's why mine went all solid on me, the other 2 were really hard to crack, Maybe Mr Put-togetherer @ Honda didnt use threadlocker?

Well, what really happens is the cheap bolts....not even grade 8, probably had some cadmium or similar plating to provide some rust protection, but when cooked by the exhaust heat, it acts as a thread locker....generic thread lock...like blue locktite, IF it were used on the exhaust wouldn't be of any help...and may even be a detriment....some good copper or bronze anti sieze....or even the expensive silver based anti sieze would insure the system could be disassembled in the future.....so better bolts and antisieze is your friend on these hot threaded bits.

yeah, got told years ago that the silver stuff (like paste in a tin)...is pretty awesome, and dont need much of it either. Morey's or somethin?

why does that not suprise me, yet the 6M hex head bolts on my XR250 can be undone when she's glowin red hot no dramas...and no antiseize needed! cmon Honda! step up! looks like its a strip down and bolt back together job with decent anti seize. i bought a NEW bike for this NOT to happen!! ffs..

I ordered my rear carrier from them. Used Paypal so they don't have my CC #. I have a pic of it many on here somewhere.

Picked up a Kali helmet today at Iron Pony in Columbus. The cheek pads don't press too hard like 90% of the other helmets I tried on. Matches the bike perfectly and was $80.

kali

Camera is a Sigma so the colors you see are 100% accurate on a calibrated monitor.
