well, that was fun...
The BP turned into a Caltex
we found an interesting (sealed) road
We didn't find the power lines
What looked like a thru track was a dead end.
but we worked out that Nerrim is just a name on a map!

I think this is what we'd call an OSIL moment.

All up, was good fun, thanks!

Now just need to compare how the hamburgers we had with the Pub lunch the other guys had

OSIL: Oh sh*t I'm lost!

The meal at the Neerim South pub was great, $10 chicken burger or fish and chips or steak. And a nice seat in the shade where we could watch the bikes. Great day

]We also had an interesting ride ended up at Torronga Falls, wanted to ride up Fawcett Tk but found that its been closed up(gate). Tried to find a way around and just ended up on a Dead End Tk that was bloody steep. Ended up heading into Neerim State Forest, riding some single tracks, steep climbs and descents. All up great ride.

Next time you go, head through the park from Gembrook side, theres some good twisties near there and a heap of dirt roads to explore as you head East. You'll pass the High tension power lines and can follow them around.

Ive headed that way a few times on the bike, as its only an hour from home.

Good luck

-Shaun

This weekend is out for me, but looking at the 19/20 Jan for an easy day ride. Suitable for beginners or pigs, no single track, mostly dirt roads if we can find time.

Where? That all depends on the fire situation.

Fair enough, I'm keen - just let me know the details. (hopefully it'll be a bit less dusty on the dirt by then)

And pardon my ignorance - whats a pig in this contect?

I may have a day ride around 19th or 20th if a few bike issues are sorted first.... Up around Neerim/Nojee to the triangle/woods point etc. A longish day but easy enough. Keep ya posted on this thread.
