Wow, 123 views and no replies, looks like its a one man thread.
![]() I have had a reply to an email to Rhodierider, attached for info. hello I have a few questions about your Rhodierider GPS. What maps does it come preloaded with? Are the maps upgradeable, at what cost? Can I load topo maps on to it? Is it suitable for tracks and gravel roads? Can I plot routes using GPX files? Is it compatable with Scala Rider headset? The GPS comes with TOM-TOM and IGO maps pre loaded for Australia and New Zealand Yes, the maps are fully upgradeable from us. We will send notification to customers on file, to let them know. At present there is no charge for this. Yes you can plot routes. Yes, it is compatible with Scala rider headset, provided they are the same bluetooth system version. It does not have tracks but does have some gravel roads pre loaded at present. It is designed for a motorbike, so it is made for a certain amount of vibration/impact resistance. We are currently looking at the compatibility of topo maps. Kind regards |

I dunno how to interpret the reply you got, but if it doesn't do tracks it's not worth shit for offroad. Unless it will take Garmin Topo (around $300 from memory) then I think t might route over tracks, but don't quote me on that.
