my pin has NO movement at all - but the pedal has some free play - which i agree is a must so rear brake will release
if your pin is worn on a '11 990 already ? or just poor manufacturing tolerence ?
weird to say the least ?

I sure hope it's not worn, because the bike has under 2000km on it. I'd think the hole has been made oval-shaped.

when I move the pedal with my foot or hand there is no play
BUT if I take the clevis and pull it up with my hand it will move up some - probably the 1mm you have
the clevis stays down tight to the pedal - no free play when pushing pedal

still this is a NON ISSUE - if you want to "Bling" your bike - ok - fine

I noticed I get an un-acceptable amount of rear brake play when the rotor is wore out ,
when the pads wear out it is quite a lot
replaced the rotor and no problem now
