Help with F800gs locks

I have the vario saddlebags and am installing the locks. I have the wafers retracted with the key in ,but when I install the locks I can't get the key out. It wont come out in either position, even with a little finesse. The locks lock and unlock fine. I have removed the cylinders a couple of times and can't see what I've done wrong.

If the key won't come out, one or more of the pins are too deep. Pins are numbered 1, 2, or 3. You want the pins arranged so everything is level with the barrel, not sticking out slightly OR sticking in slightly.

Also, don't use all the positions, leave the first 2 slots before the keeper empty.

Lastly, make sure you turn the barrel the right way as you install it. Turning the barrel the wrong way sticks the key and usually the barrel in.

Yep, that will do it! I don't know why it sticks the key, it's not even in the instructions not to put a pin there, but every dealer knows from experience not to put one there. strange.
