It's cool to see your second grader holding a better line than you are through the turn...

I think when he grows into the bike, I'll have to upgrade my KLX250 to something a little more aggressive; if I want to keep up.

Steeerike 2!

John - I fiddled with it and a couple things are fishy. It looks like a link to your email and it doesn't have a .jpg (or the like) extension... But, I'm no expert.

Moab, the slick rock trail. We did the practice loop a few times, then out to the main trail.

My son (6) on his first ride

Later this year

My daughter (8)

They are both doing sooo much better than I though they would at this age. It's truely one of my greatest joys going riding with my kids.

PS the rides home are always entertaining...

It goes by fast

Here's the first known picture of my son getting ready to ride, I believe he was 4 yo. and we were up at Hahns Peak. Big sister was helping him out with all the needed gear.

Fast forward to this past summer, Taylor Park, Fossil Ridge trail, the Z50 has become a 450 and the kid now leaves dad in the dust. He's been through a Z50, XR70, KX65, KX100, KTM250, KTM450.

Some our best times have been spent on bikes, riding with our kids is about as good as it gets!

Exactly right.

My oldest (19 now) started on a Z50 at age 5 and progressed through a KLX110, TTR 125, KX100, YZ250F, to his YZ450.

The youngest (15 now) started on the Z50 at age 4 and progressed through KLX110, Pitster Pro 125 (bad experiment), KX100, now to his KX250F.

They are both too fast for me now. One of the best things I have purchased lately is a Go Pro to record them pulling away from me,

1 year of riding (almost...)

I have 2 kids. Talia (8), and Elijah (7).

What popped out of the big box last year at Christmas:

Trying out the new bike in the front yard:

and just a few short months later, my son has taken to it like a duck to water:

Proud of him!

Can't believe this all happened this year! We've raced some MX together, GP's together, and had a great time! He's just about ready for a bigger bike!

Cool thread!
