I'm precisely one year ahead of you, started my guy at Christmas. We've found IMI has all sorts of play areas, no problems especially if you get there early and beat the crowds of dirt squids. Not cheap but always there and we have fun.

VDR is not bad assuming there isn't a race going on. We went there Christmas day!

Best of all, weather permitting, is Pawnee Grassland OHV, open Nov to Mar or something.

Watkins is pretty cheap, and close. They have a nice-ish area for kids. Thunder valley is closer, with a smaller riding area, I think.

Let's hook up for some kid riding soon.

I'm taking my boy to PMI (Pueblo) this Sunday. There may be other kids there too. PM me if you're interested, I don't want to get this thread too far off topic.

Well Spencer, my five year old finally got some riding time on his dirt bike. Spent the last two days riding around at
a local riding area. First thing he said last night before bedtime. Can I ride again tomorrow.

Another photo of me chasing him around. He did pretty good. Daddy, not so well.
After this photo I was churning up some laps on the track and had a pretty get off.
Leg is hurting pretty good.
