They are sold at Wal-Mart here for about $20. Not like having a custom seat, but they help a little. PM me and I'll see if I can get you one.

Any plans to make a hitch for the Versys? I don't have one, but the hitch would work great on my Ninja 650R.

I would like to make a Versys hitch in the future... PM or email me some pictures of the rear swingarm from each side of your Ninja and I'll see what I can come up with.

Progress on Mil-spec Moto Mule

I equipped my MM frame with a mil-spec electronics container in lieu of the standard Actionpacker. Since wretched excess seems to be just about enough in the adventure field, I've been wiring it for lights and a few creature comforts.

I found a bunch of reasonably priced LED lights at Mall-wart. I like the idea of using them, because should they fail, spares are readily available.

I installed turn signals, tail light, brake lights, and a license plate light. I am going to register the trailer. It's cheap enough here in VT, and it could save being hassled elsewhere.

Rear view:

I thought the wiring came out rather well. Using 14 ga for a couple of LEDs is likely overkill, but I had it on hand and it's not going to fail.

Tomorrow, I'm going to fabricate a battery box and install a power plug for charging electronics. The spare battery will be a small 4.5 amp hour 12 volt power supply battery. It doesn't weigh much, and could come in handy.

Thanks for the offer, really appretiate the effort, but I found a French company who makes custom sests and choosed one of them.

Thumb

Can someone post pictures or more info about the XR650l attachment to the rear axle? I see it says drilling is required, which is definitely no biggie for me, but am curious as to what it looks like and how it is done. I can see a lot of uses for the moto mule.
I travel to so archery competitions and this would be awesome to carry my gear, with my bow on top in a hard case. Awesome!!!!
