Enjoyed it. I like the frankenbeemer, too. Did you look at the clutch splines while you were building the bike or did they just slip up on you, no pun intended.

You didn't take very long to get your bike back on the road

Have fun with your wife and I'll be following this thread the next few days in the evenings from my motel in Ridgecrest.

Some riders backed out on me this morning so I won't make it to PSR but am going to take my son and do some trail riding in the Spangler Hills with my brother-in-law and his family. He has 8 grand kids now. It is alot of fun watching the next generation coming up on bikes.

This is the way we do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60UBoq-3-uc

I didn't really mean to keep this thread running, but the rebuild and next breakdown are kind of part of the story. This is probably my last check in for awhile.

Be careful in the Spanglers, it's a madhouse around Thanksgiving with a bunch of crappy riders trying to go head on every chance they get.

Thanks to all for reading and the nice comments!!

Ok, I have to break down and tell the truth.

Rob sold the GS in the desert and bought a brand new Sprinter van with a TW200 strapped to the back. He's now parked in a Wally World parking lot enjoying a Hulu rerun of Then Came Bronson

Just the way to experience the adventure of motorcycling!

Good to see you guys, Rob. Glad we could get you past the snow and ice. It would have been a long ride back.

I saw your bud going down Lippincott and he said you made into Teakettle.

Have a great trip!

Great thread - thanks LarryBoy

Just found this RR. Really enjoyed the pics, especially the food, camping and old mining shots. A great photo of your breakfast. Really takes us along. Thanks!

So glad to read that you are doing well and enjoying your trip.

Can't wait to hear all about it!!

PS

Nicky,

Can you tell me when will they be home? I wasn't paying attention when she told me.

Thanks!

They were going to be gone for two weeks, so my guess is that they'll get back late Saturday or mid-day Sunday so that Becky can recuperate.

Rob - he can go to work and recuperate.
