Don't disagree; regardless, I support your right to your opinion, eddie bolted!

Yet, this thread's becoming a gallery of KLR "glamor" pictures, followed by successive "quoted" repeat displays of those images.

A modest proposal (along the lines of bassplayinroach's suggestion above):

Inmates can post their "calendar girl" candidate images in the, "KLR only pics!!" forum, http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...highlight=Pics, instead of diluting and perhaps overwhelming the "KLR Only" thread.

Another option: Start an alternative thread to "KLR only pics!!", "KLR Calendar Candidates," or some such title, showcasing pictures submitted for calendar consideration.

Only suggestions offered; no moderator nor administrator, I.

haha, sorry for causing a tidal wave of photos! I agree, maybe it's best to keep this a discussion post!

Anyone thrown a DR650 headlight on their KLR?

looking at pics looks like the lights are about the same size so maybe just need the fork tube brackets and fairing from the DR?

my bracket is cracked and always wanted to reduce the profile/bulk of the KLRs face. not to mention having the headlight point to where i'm going rather than just straight ahead would be nice. might have to play with the bulky gauges a bit but looks duable.

What about the Baja Designs headlight and enduro fairing that attachs to the forks with rubber straps ? I love the look of those.
You could even replace the bulky gauges with a Trail Tech digital computer.

I did something similar, sort of. Universal headlight mounts that wrap around the fork tubes, Honda CB400 headlight and Trailtech Vapor. Works great!

Yeah love the Baja lights but not their price. and the trail techs are nice but again not their price. Looking for a KLR budgeted solution.

Yeah seen the rubber wrap around style lights but don't know if i'd trust simple rubber straps to hold my headlight up specially offroad and with extended long term use. That's why i like the looks of the dr brackets, simple but beefy.

Should clarify, my mounts are metal, not rubber. About $25 on ebay, and $30 for the light as I recall.
