Peterman will tell you it is paved.

That looks like the spot where we took a short break on the way back from Hells Canyon last time, between Pendelton and the place S1marks' GS took a little nap.

Or, were you looking for a more precise name?

Map controversy ! mmm fun.

My Benchmark shows Healy Rd running north/south from 74 to Butter Creek Rd...And...Kenny Rd running east/west from Sand Hollow Rd to Healy Rd.

When I saw that pic I said "That looks like It's near Heppner".

My 2006 Benchmark calls it Joe Kenny road. It is the one I keep near my computer . Just looked at my 2010 Benchmark and it calls the exact same road Healy Road. The 2010 Benchmark does not list a Joe Kenny road, but does list a Kenny road to the east of what it calls Healy road. What ever name you call it, I was pretty sure what the road was from the first picture. Looked at the first Benchmark I could find to get the name (Joe Kenny) The second picture confirmed it so I decided to look at other maps to see if it listed a different name for the same road.
Also known as county road 813

Healy Road

I cut wheat on that road 30 years ago for a farmer named Bill Healy, so to me it has always been Healy road. And it is county road 813. Just as you go thru the gate in the picture with my wife there used to be a barn, don't remember if it is still there. My wife and I slept in it the night before deer season. We had permission to do that and my wife shot her deer from the barn. There is another gate just up the road aways and you can see where the county road used to go to the right. I dont know when they changed it. Alan your up again. The surface of the road starts as gravel then turns a lot rougher. Here is another picture of the road.

And that ladies and gents is an un-paved section of road,,see the difference? Graveled roads are indeed paved,,duh! they are paved with gravel, like the earlier pic by the gate.
Remember when they used to oil the roads, and used diesel for weed killer?

No, but you are getting warmer.

Hint: The creek (or river) you can see in the picture does end up flowing onto the Boise River.

Come on, we know it is not on, but near one of the forks of the Boise River. Can't be that hard to figure out.
