I wanted to ( did yesterday) but I also needed to work on finishing a corner cabinet I had built and putting the finishing touchs on a bathroom remodel.

That was my first thought , but it's waaay too smooth for the road into the canyon,
and the road on top is in a big deep cut from a hundred years of digging out the mud

Goodnoe Rd is on the WA side, near the same area, so it looked similar.
I have been very near there, and all around it, but not on that same road

Yes, that is it. I know an easy one for a lot of people. You are up.

One of my favorite spring rides. The road is closed by snow for the winter and opens in mid April at Aquarius, a nice campground where the bridge crosses.
Keep going upriver and you get to Superior Montana to the left or the Lolo motorway to the right after about 100 miles.
