Wallowa - You are correct. It is off of the Cold Springs Rd.

I was leading a group from Asotin to the Wallow Gathering. We went up the Snake, Grande Rhond, Joseph, and Horse Creek. We stopped on top to take a picture I walked over to the edge and saw this memorial.

Funny...I have been there several times and completely missed the plaque. A great spot for your memorial Clara!

No pictures from me, so SB or Roy or ? Please post a photo..I appreciate it.

So I was on the wrong road, wrong wreck. I claim surgery and strong meds as my excuse.
I did get to post my favorite picture though.

Thank you for the gallant defense peterman though I will try to stay close to the rules.

If they come looking for me I will probably just feed them until they forget why they were mad.

I will post a photo to keep things moving. Name the creek. One of two creeks with nearly the same name very close together.

For another quick hint it is on the same river as the lilacs below.

This should go fast. Maybe we can get some sagebrush again from 650X, I know he has been within feet of both of the pictures, thetourist, sorebutt, and a bunch of other ADV too.

Since I am still up I will give a hint, one of the Clearwater river drainages.

Not Cabin Creek, the only ones I see in Idaho are not associated with any of the forks of the Clearwater.

Same lilacs with a bigger field of view, the creek we want is miles down stream from this and as I said is one of two that are very close together and have similar names. 650X your camper was feet from those lilacs when I first met you and Katy.

Below is a shot of the scenery across the North Fork of the Clearwater from the creek, not exactly across from the creek we want but close.

sorebutt and mtnseker went by here at least twice a few weeks ago on a ride they talked about on the Palouse thread.

There was a movie quite a few years ago with Danny Devito and Arnold Schwartsenegger , part of the creek names is the same as the title of that movie.

Upper/Lower Twin Creek

BTW, Cabin Creek is much close to the bungalows which is where I thought the flowers might be near. Actually Cabin Creek flows into Weitas creek a little before it flows into the NF of the Clearwater.

"Twins" was a great movie. Dunno if anybody else caught it, but the music playing when they were dancing in the bar was Jeff Beck and Nicolette Larsen. No wonder it sounded so good!

Google Maps doesn't bring up that Cabin Creek so it must not exist.

Yes the Lilac clump is in the camping area at Bungalow , the bridge at Bungalow on the 250 road is shown in the second picture.

Two answers in one post, I got in trouble for that one. 650X is up.

The picture is of upper twin creek and as you know they are just about 50 yards apart where they come into the North Fork of the Clearwater at

I was given the "Twins" Soundtrack a decade or so ago as a promotional thing at a Consumer Electronics Show. But I haven't listened to it for years. Maybe I'll dig that CD back up.....and yes.....most excellent movie !
