Better when it's cold?

Having been out and about today when the temperature was not much above 40 F, I think my 1150GS goes accelerates better when it's cold. I guess this might be the fuel injection letting more fuel in to go with the denser air. My fuel injected Lancia used to like cold weather lots!
Seems to be more noticeable with the cat eliminator fitted as well.
Is this my imagination, or have other people noticed the same?
For once it hasn't been raining, so this is cold and dry weather. In wet weather I'm not usually accelerating quite as much.

Yes, more power...

It's called 'FAT' air, when cold and moist.

It gets me excited when it's fat out.
