you can ride from BV to Radium on the Colorado river easy enough in a day.
then the final day from radium to the state line is a piece of cake.

So, looks like the 8th-12th of June I and a couple riding buddies will be on the route. Any reports on bits closed due to the white fluffy stuff?

The southern mtns/San Juans/California pass have low snow this year so they are good and they plow.

The others to check are Cumberland, Cottonwood, Hagerman & Weston.
July 4th has always been a safe date for Colorado but some years...

Thumb Very nice indeed

New member checking in. I grew up in Lake City, so it's very cool to see some familiar territory on the COBDR. I'm living in Broomfield now, and I just recently purchased a V-strom 650 (2013) after taking a 2+ decade break from any kind of riding.

Will definitely be paying more attention to this forum.

I know the guys who plow Hagerman Pass, they estimate around July 4th.

All done & it was epic!

Here's your next spring ride while the snow is still melting in the high-country.

This route will also work well in the fall for a 3 week ADV tour
-up the COBDR
-west and down the UTBDR
-down the AZBDR
- ... on to Mexico, Baja and Panama for the winter

70 to Gore pass

I did I-70 to Gore pass Sunday its clear and dry except for the stream X-ing its way to deep. Went down to BV Monday (yesterday ) trail closed at 435 sign says tell June 15.made it to 285 on 311. Weston pass still snowed in made it to within 1/2 mile of the top from the 285 side. hikers told me its snowed in for miles on the other side.

Thanks for the update Too deep as in above the knees and fast moving? I'll make some notes on the map and when we return from the trip I'll post up what we found and I may even get a pic or two up
Cameras all charged, cards empty, bags mostly packed, fresh Scorpions, and route tracks all loaded.

Stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's 3' plus and way fast flowing don't think a person could walk across it. I wouldn't try it in a jeep. Its not hard to by pass on hwy 134. There were no tracks through it.

Sure sounds like something to avoid, best case scenario? One of the bolder riders will entertain us with some great video material

Thanks again,
