Big dollars on those inserts eh!
I too suspected they were going to go for a stupid amount (HPN, Gletter Wüdo, etc, in the listing titles are generally good warning bells) so I am kinda glad they did so high and that posting the link didn't take one of you potential buyers out of the group buy.
Sounds like you guys are onto a good thing here.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this all turns out.

Ontic- for a brief instant I thought you were selling them, had to do a double take, as the seller was from Austria, not Australia.

The price for the inserts is still only 510 Euro. Some people were getting spooked by the ebay price of the second hand hpn inserts

Pardon me if this has already been asked but by installing these inserts do the forks now work in the conventional manner ie both left and right forks control compression and rebound ? I've never really liked the idea of one fork doing the comp and the other the rebound on the GS bikes.

Yes I believe that is the case.

Agreed, but it does allow you to tune rebound and compression damping independently by changing oil weights. It does seem like a great way to try to make a fork flex though. I've never liked the concept either, but in the days of damping rod forks without external adjustments, all you could do was change the oil weight. If both legs have rebound and compression damping there's no way to adjust rebound and compression independently of one another.

Jeez the advnzer is greedy - two of them? He could just give one to me.

I hadn't realized that he was already on the list.

You can ride, it, but swapping? I don't think so

*Update*

It's been a good two weeks and I just got off the phone with Hubert. Looks like he is still waiting for the raw materials. He said probably another 2 weeks to go. I don't know how much of that is stalling, but that's what he said.

Once he has the stuff he'll get into immediately. He will match the kits to the rider's weight. The plan is to send me an order number which I will pass on to the people on the list. People can use that to order online. PayPal is still being worked on.

Sorry I don't have any better news right now, but that's where we're at. I hope the favorable exchange rate will continue for a while longer. I have been busy with the R80G/S I've bought recently and have a few hundred dollars worth of stuff on order. A little breather will be good for my wallet.

Once my new retaining wall is finished, I can spend more time finishing that bike. Thankfully the post are now in.

I just hope that one of the other bikes doesn't decide it needs a new ______!

and that the money in the fund can stay there until these are ready to go!
