We've got four confirmed and one maybe. I'll leave it open until Friday. If we have 10 we should be good to go. If not, I'll just put in an order for myself.

It's not hard to set up a Paypal account, so I can probably talk him into it. Would he need a credit card himself, to make this work?

He would need a bank account and credit card if buying things. I'm not sure about receiving money. But I bet he won't want to use Pay Pal, as they take a percentage fro transactions about the same as a credit card co.

I'll still go ahead and purchase as I have a feeling we won't get the number needed. Does RaceTech respond to English emails???? As it sounds like a bank transfer is what will have to be done.

Beemerbof- speaks very highly of his HPN magnum inserts and I read somewhere these are reputed to be better than what HPN has for other bikes....so this sounds good and will most likely be cheaper than the fork swap...definitely easier!!!! So now is a good time to consider the inserts. Race Tech is willing to send these things to buyers outside of the country now...he may not later.

Kopelli- I may need to ask you a few questions about your transaction and how to proceed, since you've been working with this.

No problem, happy to answer any questions. I would still wait for a few more days. I do think it's a good opportunity to save a bit of money and it looks to be a very good product. I am not sure what sort of discount people were expecting to get.

Considering for how long the original HPN insert thread went on for and how many people showed interest then, I would have expected a better response.
However, I've just read my own comment again, I wrote that I had to wait until Christmas three years later, Christmas is finally here.

So people make up your minds and join the group buy, so we can all save a bit of money!!

If it's $70USD savings then that would be $700 that Race Tech is willing to part with with 10 buyers. Look at it that way then the offer is pretty generous.

Just waiting to see where this goes...really would like to save $70 USD, that should offset the shipping, don't now about importation fees to the US??? That's hit or miss here.

Like Fudmucker says, it's pricey for those of us in Africa, earning African money, but I am strongly tempted! There MAY be two of us in Cape Town which may help to reduce shipping costs. I will make a decision by Friday 16 Dec, so, please count me in until then...

You'd figure with all the crying about the stock GS forks people would be jumping on this, quit your crying, get off the sidelines and jump on the wagon!!!

OH yeah, save me some money!!!

Please PM me your name and location.

We still need a few more before this will fly. Don't procrastinate, just do it! I will ring him again on Friday, if we don't have more people ordering by then, its each on their own.

Hey Kokopelli,
A helpful thing to do for a group buy is to put a list of those who are "in" on the very first post and keep editing it as more people join in. It makes it easy for everyone to know how close you are to filling the quota.

Here is the list of people who are in:

Stagehand
One Less Harely
Kokopelli
mbogage
Renner
Erland
MoMan
Infracaninophile

Maybe:
igormortis
nowhereman
Fudmucker
BruceS
espressodrinker

The original poll showed 13 people interested. So if I've left you off and you thought you were in, let me know asap.

My son has just managed to spend over a $1000 of my money by tweaking someone else's rear bumper with his (my) car. I am still in though, but only just...who needs this before Christmas.
