I like the turn this thread has taken :-).

I couldn't ring the guy last night. I am having phone problems. The phone is going via the internet. For some reason I can't receive calls or make calls at the moment. Strangely enough, the internet is fine. My ISP thinks that the phone should be hooked up differently to the modem, even though it was fine up to now. I'll need to buy a cable to do it their way. Sorry about that.

No worries. I think you are right: most businesses in Germany are closed for the holidays. I'd be surprised if anybody answers before the 2nd!

This would be more my age group, and theres a joke in there somewhere about riding both with equal vigor

Speaking of which, I've certainly got a lot more chances of riding those shocks, and the holidays are over, even if youre German. Any news?

Kokopelli is is out riding somewhere till the 10th. So no news for a little while. So you'll just have to abuse one of the little bikes.

Sorry guys, I am sitting in Cromwell right now with 5min internet access left. This is one of the best riding areas anywhere in the country, or just about anywhere. Will post some pictures when I get back, to keep you guys motivated. I am on the 1150, but will be missing the R80. I promise I'll get onto the cartridges the minute I get back home.

The dollar is gaining on the euro. Have a beer first when you get home, I might save a few more $$$

Had a great time on the South Island, you guys don't know what you're missing. To tie you over while you're waiting for his response.

Gorgeous pics. Makes me wish wed gone South this year. What are you shooting with?

Thanks for the lead while we were stranded, by the way - good stuff!

No, it's not. Still no email from the guy. When I talked to him briefly last night, the first thing he said was, "I'll send you and email". He must be understaffed. Bloody frustrating pace.

Thanks for the praise. It's just one of those small Sony point and shoot things. I've had lot's of file errors and lost photos. But the remainder turned out surprisingly good. One of those photos shows the descent from the Nevis via a left side track into Bannockburn. It took my wife and I two hours to get off that hill. The 1150 is a pig on loose, steep shingle with a full tank. I had been planning on doing the Old Dunstan road, but ended up doing the Hawthorne road, a bit of the Nevis and that down hill ride.

You'd think he would put some effort into this, he just doesn't seem to want to sell the product. As he's not following through. I hope this happens but I'm a little skeptical, that it will. just sitting back and keeping my fingers crossed!!

Of course I don't know the feeling you've gotten from them during your conversations.
