not senile

It's the sh*ts when you can't really define the answer in a poll because they don't give you a choice. I have plenty of faculties remaining and I know where my keys are and for what they are used!

I don't wish to be younger but I do think you 30-50 yo's who are riding GS's have something going for you. I started riding 50yrs ago; a Zundapp Bella scooter - wrecked it on a gravel road the second time I rode it!

Then came a Zundapp 250cc Super Sabre. Riteously followed by a 1959 BMW R60 that I rode over 100k miles in the '60s.

Then Mx and desert got in the way and I went through a lot of Yamahas.

In the late 80's I was fortunate to re-connect with a friend, Lester J. Platt, who showed me Baja and we rode that for over 15yrs, about twice a month.

Early 2000's and I was back on the road on my trusty '00 GS; after about 140k on it I bought the '07 RT - love it. If I was a bit younger I would probably jump on the new 1600 GT.

Hey, breeze on the knees is what counts.

I am 27, I fell in love with my GS the first time I saw it in person. The po bought the bike new in 98 and was 27, rode until he was 40, and decided he wanted something smaller. It would only be fitting if I attempted to keep the bike until I'm 40 and be picky about the next 27 year old who buys it. I can only hope the next 65K miles are as safe and adventurous as the first 65K!

The 56-65 group will end up on top of this, it's just that they all went to bed before the poll started !

Had my licence for a year. Bought a new F650 in the spring and three weeks later traded it for a 2010 GSA. Thank dog for a patient wife!!

Currently 27. Bought my 850 GS 4 year ago and I'm not intending in changing it, just buy another one!
In love with this bike since I was 11. A guy comes back then next to my house I see the big beast and I asked him:
Sorry sir with bike is this?
My young fella this is a BMW 1100 GS.
Wow I said..

Now I own one myself.!

Physically I'm 48, but my wife puts my mental age somewhere around 20 (but who cares what she thinks)? Been riding street bikes most of my adult life and always rode Harley's. Saw the light about 3 months ago and turned in my '02 Road King for an '05 1200gs....you're gonna love it. Congrats!

Why stop at 66+? If you kept going you would get some very interesting numbers.

Good one Mike.
It took me a few bikes to figure out that the GS was what I was looking for to be my one 'big' bike. But now I'll either have this one or get another untill I can't hold them up any more.

LOL, that sounds like me. I'm 37 and I've had my endorsement for 3 months. I bought a used F650GS twin the day I finished my MSF class and got my endorsement. I traded it in 3 days ago for a brand new 1200 GSA and couldn't be happier.

40 Yrs old. Have my 09 GSA for two years, 48k miles and its getting better with every mile. Been riding since I was 6 on my Honda Z50, many bikes since but none satisfy me more then my GSA.....The power, agility, balance, just the feel of her in my hands puts an instant smile on.......its the best all around bike ever.....IMHO

I just woke up and noticed this poll. I thought that all the young people rode Monsters and sport bikes?
