Kasane is not far from the Kazungula ferry to Zambia. It only takes one truck at a time (every half hour or so) so the queues are massive for the heavies. It's apparently quite usual to be stuck here for five days...

The road south to Nata is falling apart in places. Happily they are building a new one right next to it. You bang along on the potholes about 10 metres from pristine tarmac.

The desert is reclaiming the road.

That road was much worse before they started fixing it.

We are origonally from Zim a long time ago - the Falls Hotel looked just how I remember it.

I have just read your wonderful RR. Glad you got some advice from ours but you have introduced me to a few new places as well.
Your photography is stunning and you were so lucky to see all that wildlife - obviously a good time of the year to travel.
