$5 on Grosjean out qualifying Kimi.

Ferrari will be lost until they fire Domenicali half way through the season, Hamilton will self destruct even worse than last year, Button will be a constant (but distant) 2nd in the WDC to Red Bull (doesn't really matter who is gifted into the car), and Adrian Sutil is hired by Bernie as a special FIA rep.

I would have taken you up on that.

Glad I didn't.
The qualifying results bode well for an interesting season! The red team looks like they have a LOT of work ahead of them.

Well, it does look like it's going to be an interesting season.
If you're not a Ferrari fan.

I'll take payment in RU credits.
I guess I'm the only one that remembers why Kimi was paid NOT to race.

Any of you rules monkey's know what obligation, if any, the marshall's had to help push Alonso out of the gravel? Ferrari tweeted that the marshals "did nothing", even though the motor was running.

Was it revenge for the Valentino/Stoner coming together of 2011?

To my best recollection, they have none, but if it is possible they typically do... that said, I would call this:

A little too far to push...

Having been a marshall at many many events, both pro and amateur (hence the screenname), we have no obligation to help a driver return to competition when he's the duffer that put it the gravel to begin with.

We'll make sure he's safe and call for medical / towing assistance if needed and we will give a push if feasible. BUT ... once the driver engages first gear, digs two Pirelli shaped holes and sinks the car to the floorpan, there ain't a marshall in the world that's gonna be able to push that thing out of there .... even if they wanted to.
