R100 '83 colors

Hello everyone! are new to the forum.
Last week I bought a R100 of 1983. The color is blue with gray and red pinstripe. The tank and other parts are, however, to re-paint. What kind of colors were marketed in 1983? the bike is a R100 with S fairing

...oh... the Color Number behind the seats is 519... I know probably was black?? with gold pinstripe?

Black with Gold pinstripes would look great on the R100S

I've a trouble because my mechanic said "in 1983 R100 was only sales in 4 5 colors... Black ,Green, AtlanticBlau, Grey, rare White..."

It's possible? probably that colors was the most sale in that years...
But which are really product in BMW choice?

I still have my 1983 BMW R100 that I purchased new in Nov.1982. BMW in 1983 produced 2 models of the R100,the long distance model with touring bars and hard saddlebags and the model with sports bars,sport cockpit with voltmeter and clock.In other years they were called T and CS. They both were just R100 for 83 only.There were two colors available black with red and white pinstripes and silver with blue pinstripes.Mine is black with sports equipment and still a fine all round bike.I also have the US brochure for 83 that shows the differences.Hope this helps!

Sorry,I can't help you on the Euro models for 83.I am only familiar with the US models.The cafe models look great in black or red in my opinion!

1983 colour for the R100 was Metallic Atlantic blue

These guys make excellent colour reproductions in the UK http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-us/col...&prodyear=1983 and sell in everything from rattle cans to litre pots. They advertise in dollars so should ship to the states.Probably going to be expensive for you but might be worth considering if you're stuck for a paint match
