Other than a bent front rim and a busted throttle housing all is well with bike. The rest is just cosmetic.

Yes the gear worked. Considering I was going between 50-65 mph (depends on who you were talking too). I have no idea how fast. I just know that it hurt hitting the ground sliding and rolling. All good though. I came out pretty much unscathed. Just a little beat up.

The gear did do its job.

Yeah that sudden hit on the ground will bruise ya up..That's for sure.
So ya didn't slide into anything
That always helps ....
Bikes are almost always fixable...
Take a nice hot epsom salt soak...That will help...

Gravel on pavement is like marbles on the road.. The rug gets pulled out from under ya fast!!!

Sticker

We should probably start a Rick's Sticker Thread, in Regional or Inmates; I'm not sure.
Fe Woman and I are in for several; someone just decide how the money is changing hands and I'll send it ASAP.

Thanks.

Just rolled in to home after 1965 miles for the trip. Wish I had ridden 35 more miles alone on Friday just to make it 2000.

Thanks Silke, Hunter, et al for stepping up to the plate BIG TIME! You really did "Finish what he started."

BackwoodsKLR and I were talking Saturday night about how much work it is. Hell, the little rally we put on down here in Mississippi is a whole bunch of work, and it's only for about 40 people. I know it takes a major team effort to do it, so thanks to the whole RDV team!

Anyone find a clear 1500ml REI Nalgene bottle? It had a skull and crossbones spill guard.

You call; we'll answer.

thank you! - and thank you again for the stickers

I think the first thing we would need is honest feedback. What should be done different, what should be added?

Ok, here's mine.

There was so much that was good, really.

The only thing I didn't like was the "band".

There are many musicians among us. I would like to see some microphones and amps and let the talent come from us.

Skyclad said he wanted to play his flute but felt there was no place for him or that he would be intruding.

Many brought their instruments this year also.

I enjoyed that band. they were good. but we do have some talented peeps here
