I may be able to be a sucker for a day or two... but I want to get dirty on at least one of the days

btw, I have a great track record: the last ride I lead I only lost 6 out of 10
(only because two went home, one went to visit a cousin, one decided to need gas... and that's my story and I am sticking to it)

I don't like this idea. I have on several occasions had some near misses from riders who out of the blue decide to pass. If I had swerved to miss a rock or whatever , we would have crashed. Whats the fucking hurry . I like KTMmikes idea to change places when we stop ,which is often . If you run into to me cause you think your faster than me I'm gonna get real pissed off.
The wait for the tail problem can be handled by the slow riders themselves . If your holding the group up, get a few of the slower guys together and break off and form another group and catch up at the breaks.

If I were to try that style, I'd exempt you from 'marker duty' BOSS! and we'd ride as co-leaders.

But you're right, with as many blind corners on one lane roads as there are, having riders continually 'leap frogging' through the pack could be a potential nightmare! Not to mention how much dust that would have everybody eating if it's been a dry week.

I'd keep the No Passing rule and just rotate the markers if I were to try it.

The old standard rule of 'baby sit the rider behind you' works well until somebody 'forgets' to do it and the chain gets broken. Being able to spread out and 'ride your own ride' while still being part of a group that's looking out for each other is a great thing....but we need to get everybody to participate in looking out for each other part.

Keeping the No Passing rule and just reshuffling the order at stops if needed seems like the best way to go for this type of ride.

So Party Boss,

Laurel Springs has been great but it is probably time to move on.
What areas are you contemplating?

Yes. Yes. Yes. I'm still pissed I didn't get up there last year.

Hi KTM MIke. Hopefully I'll be there to help you all change more flat tires.

Let me know where I need to be. Laurel Springs is great but anywhere on the Eastern Seaboard works for me.

ADAM!
Good to hear from you. You are welcome on my rides any day.
Last year, I think my groups went all 3 days without a flat!
Surely that can't happen 2 years in a row.

We usually don't move unless we are evicted or something burns down.
