I'm probably trucking. I have an F150 with the long box. I'm just waiting to hear from my friend if she's coming with me otherwise I'll be looking for a second person. I think I can actually fit 3 bikes but it's just a regular cab so 3 would be a bit cozy.
I still have a crazy idea about riding down on the WR250 - I need someone to commit to coming with me so I don't get committed

I have a truck and trailer but will wait to see where it is. I may go to the NooB ride in Death Valley as well. Not sure yet.

OK, I got my threads mixed up I'm trucking to the NooB Rally (with the WR250) although as I said there's this niggling thought that it would be so epic to ride the WR to Death Valley, and riding to this one on the V-Strom. There's a few of us from the Island already signed up for this one.
If you decide on the NooB rally we should talk.

Might be fun to convoy out from the island, a little more fun than many hours in the saddle alone lol. What's this I hear about a noob rally in DV? Is it like a dirtbike trip or is it dual sport?

I thought maybe you had your threads mixed up. Trucking to Death Valley would make more sense than trucking to somewhere here in BC. Don't you have your V-Strom anymore?

Yeah, DV - WR250, BCBATR - V-Strom
I want to ride some of the trails in DV that are not V-Strom friendly hence the truck and WR250. This ride is definitely for the V-Strom - I have a multi-bike garage

Count me in as well. I attend last year and had a blast.

BC Big Adventure Trail Ride Sept 7-8-9, 2012.

The ride is open to everyone and all riding levels it will roughly be 75% off road and 25% on road. You will have a choice of camping or motel and a BBQ will be held on Saturday night Sept 8th with prizes to be drawn. Once the route is planned I will post some maps, motels, camp grounds and gps files. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

I thought I would get the dates up now for people who need to plan ahead.

"PacWest" maybe able to do a rider training day for off/road riding if there is enough interest?

A friend of mine who has a traveling Kitchen&BBQ will be doing the dinner and makes the best Pulled Pork in town.
So there will be a small fee to cover the costs of food and can be paid at the event. Once I know how many people will be coming I can let you know the cost.

You can count me in for PacWest's training day again - last year I counted it the best money I ever spent on a motorcycle-related thing and I have so much more to learn!
If anybody had told me Wednesday I'd be doing 80 kph down a gravel road and feeling confident about it I'd have told them they were crazy. There I was on Friday doing it! All due to PacWest.
Although I'm still not going to try walking that humongous freakin' V-Strom around the forest

Cool to see new riders coming out.

If there are any noobs in the lower mainland, Dualsport BC is holding a Spring Newbie Ride on March 25th at Cultus Lake. I will be there and I can turn it into an impromptu training day. I've ridden the C course with a WeeStrom with luggage on.

This way you won't look like a total noob at the ride.
