Thanks for taking the time to post this. Really nice to read about someone else's experiences out there. Great pics as well.
Thanks again for the name of the Hotel in Hoi An.

Thanks for sharing, nice pics. However, would not you want to bring your own personal ATGATT, especially riding pants?

I was in Vietnam for 4 weeks the ride part was only a total of 8 days plus a week in Cambodia before that, you can only carry so much gear . We had our own jacket, gloves, boots. Their helmet was fine and as for riding pants,I rarely wear them at home so why cart them across the world plus the heat would cause you problems in Cambodia.Nth Vietnam the weather was milder but as speeds are mostly below 70kph and I have been riding for 45yrs and was site seeing not pushing it ATGATT was not necessary. If you look at my Cambodia 2012 ride you'll see I have all the gear and heat stress was problem.

Weight is always an issue I reckon and always a trade off. I think I forgot that it is hot and humid there and wet & muddy pants are just routine. I will lurk your other reports.

Dang...
You guys have great trip up the greatest riding area in Vietnam.
It's really an awesome RR.
Impressive with the 20liters wine can. That's traditional.
Too bad that you guys excused to drink.

this 20ltr drum was his rice wine supply and since his shot glass was twice the size of everyone elses, he must like a drink

No I think maybe a translation problem we did not excuse ourselves from drinking
but only needed any reason to drink.

Very nice job of writing, the pictures were great and the short video clips added a touch of class and made me feel like I was right there. It would sure be something to be able to take a trip like that.

Nice!

Speeds are low and you just flow with the traffic but biggest wins and people pull out in front of you without looking you just gotta expect it.
