Question Lebenfiddy Fender Bolt Spooge

Which locktite do you use for the fenderbolts? I had one half-way out when I got home tonight.

The one that comes in a little red bottle. Doesn't matter though, those bolts will be "out again" after you logged 1000 miles. Don't know why either. I just keep checking them. Have a similar problem with the tail light assembly. It's a pain in the "butt" Now you know why BMW's come with one of the best OEM toolkits
in the industry. :):

Blue

I used the blue (not sure of the number) and it has worked well for over 4000 miles of CA concrete at high rates of speed. The basic difference is that blue can be removed with "force", while red requires "lots of force". In general, I try to stay with blue unless I know I'm not going to want to take it apart again.

Cool...I wasn't sure whether blue or red was the more removable kind. I'm gonna run down and pick some up right away. And some firewood. brrrr. we got our first winter storm, and it's a downright chilly 57F here

The blue liquid is the way to go, mine are still in there and tight as ever.

Red requires heat to remove right? Green is for after fastening...if you call them or whatever they have all sorts of flavors for OEMs. :)

Hmm...It was 62 yesterday in Chicago and what...50something today.

Fish, You must be spoiled out there in CA. 57F chilly??? I'd give my left nugget for a day that warm.

Talking Nice & Sunny

Hi fish & Steve

Just about ready to take Bluey for another run in our temperate climate, a nice 80 degrees. Just hope that the reflection from the polished fairing doesn't give me too much of a suntan! The cool mountain air and morning dew should help to stimulate the senses! while the feeling of euphoria pumps through my veins

Oh...by the way fish... How cold are you right about now!

Hey Moot,

When I got off work at 0600hrs this morning in Fairplay, Colorado it was 14 degrees below 0 , Farhenheit. No kidding! It warmed up to about 20F in the afternoon. Fairplay is at 10,000ft. and my town is at 8,000ft. I was riding daily until last week when an Artic cold front put a temporary end to my fun.

Boy do I hate winter and the white sh*t. I can ride when it's cold but not when there is ice and snow on the roads.

I'm sooo jealous of you guys in OZ at this time of year.

Have fun.

Johnny

Give 'em another month and they'll be whining about how it's too hot to ride in Oz

Wink Humility

Hi Johnny...
Thankyou for the well wishes, but it's really us aussies who have something to be jealous of. America must be great in Winter, and to have a white Christmas is only a dream here.

Fish... are you always so quick with everything you do? You must spend most of your life in front of the PC. Check out Mrs fish for a change, you never know your luck, warm cozy fire, atmosphere, yep.. surenuff!;smooch

Regards & best wishes... Moot

I'd guess that fish and the other moderators probably monitor this site about 18 hours a day. That seems to be the norm for this type of operation.

Moot...don't need/want to hear it. Getting cold here.

Mrs. Fish is going to be after you now sending Fish her way.

I can just see it..."Gee Cary, ban Fish again so he gets all busy with that computer and we can spend more time together"

Only on weekends. During the week, we monitor 25x8. We clean up messes before they even get posted.
