Headed Out West!!

Man Jack you know I would love to bring the Strom Down and make this ride but unfortunately for me my riding in the Pines is soon to be over. By April 15th I will be moving to a larger Sand Box to play in . I know its hard to imagine a sand riding area larger than the Pine Barrens but the Wife, Kids and I are relocating to Flagstaff Arizona the first Part of April.

Its been a pleasure riding with you and many others in this area. Maybe one day I can host a few of you out West.

Regards
Jeff

I'm going to try the mini ADV trip for this ride.
I'll leave the little 350 home and RIDE the DR650 down to hammondton, ride the weekend, and then ride home. (Just like the big boys do it)
LOL.
I just mounted up some trackmasters.. I wonder how they will do for the 80 Highway miles both ways?????
Any experienced big bikers ever run Trackmasters on the highway?

A llittle noisey on the highway, but handle great. Good choice for the ride. You will be glad you put them on.

Calling the "Crew"

Hey: I've been busy getting the permits, letters and maps submitted, reviewed, appealed and hopfully approved. I proably spend a full weeks work on it. All shoud be good by next week.

If your a former crew member, and can help out this year, email me at

info@pinebarrens500.org

I may have your contact info around, but it's easier if you email me.

After Sandy Lane, we will be starting the prerides. The route is the same but different this year . We added some new stuff, lost some old stuff and are revisting some old sections. So the GPS route needs work.
OCCR will be supporting the event, but the PB300 crew, you know who you are, are just as important to a sucessful event.

Thanks

Jack

Looking for PB300 stories and pics.

Hey: We are updating the website and are looking for "good" stories and pics from previous PB300/500 events. This years event will be the 10th event we have run since the first official PB300 in Oct of 2005. We are adding a "History of the Pine Barrens 300/500" section and would like to get experiences and pictures from the riders and crew. I know there are lots of great stories out there of the struggles and challenges the event offers.

Please email, stories links and pic's to info@pinebarrens500.org

You can also post some stories here, but try not to scare the noobs to bad

Jeff: sorry to see you go, but your heading to a great riding area, maybe we can send out an expedition to see you.

BTW, Mike's family owns a trucking company and we are working on semi trailer to hold 10 bikes and head out for a real adventure somewhere. Maybe Barstow to Vegas or Canada. stay tuned.

Rusty: Thanks, it looks like it may just work out again. Lots of i's to dot and T's to cross.

Thanks

Jack

PS OCCR is holding a Park Cleanup this weekend in Brendan Byrne State Forest, Sunday @ 9 at the ranger station, anyone who wants to help, let me know.

Update 3/11/12

Hey; Heres' some pic's from the first preride. The woods is better than it's ever been this time of year, a little dry, but usually it's just starting
to thaw. Rockys big bike enduro section is primo!

The Cranberry Bogs are beautiful as ever.

The sticks are doing well too! The stick farm is back.

A controled burn area, that's how I've been running my life, a "controlled burn"

More great "roads".

And last but not least, the "down the middle" trainning pic. Imaging this as a big puddle, this is whats underneath the water.

Get your entrys in, it's filling up. Thats all for now.

Jack

First Sidecar!

Hey: it looks like we got the first sidecar entry into the PB300.

It should make for some great pics. And it looks like the puddles will be no problem.

Jack
