Annual New Years day ride !

I will be hosting my annual New Years Day ride .

Leaving from the Bo-Jangles at Lewisville/ Clemmons road and NC. 421 in Lewisville, NC. kick stands up at 12:00 noon and we will see where the road takes us. As always I am open to route suggestions and or a destination.

Last year we had to cancel the ride at the meeting/starting point due to heavy fog, safety is important IMHO !!
Conditions must be : clear , dry roads and temp at least 38 degrees.

hope to see you there,
Doug

Well my actual preferred lower temp limit is 50 , but I get so much flack if I call it off for less than that I just picked 38 as an arbitrary number.

I'm getting old and my bones just hurt too much in the cold anymore, even with an electric vest.

We're all old...

Did some low 30s riding this weekend and it was, uh, less than comfortable. I refuse to let the weather monkey dictate when I get to have fun though...

I the past i rode pretty much all year around in all conditions. Not any more though.
I actually wanted to give up riding earlier this year, sold my bikes, and trailer, gave away a bunch of gear. Went looking for a sporty car, but could not find anything in my budget. Moped around the house until I found this old BMW motorcycle , my wife said go buy it. So I did and now am back riding and wrenching. Maybe more wrenching than I would like, but at least I get to ride it most of the time.
