Do we get an "honour" list posted? Is there a mag that takes pics and posts a story on it?
I think it's more about spending a motza on preparation and failing dismally s the main point, there's no story if you actually succeed .

Thats right, I didn't make it last year, but it was a hell of a lot of fun, funny day, lots of laughs, Have a read of lasts years thread. 2011. On the day this thread will be running hot and those who put their SPOT page up, you will be able to follow.

For me the bike prep and different mods tinkering in the shed months before is half the fun. The serious guys that will be leading the charge are bike fit, crack pot riders. If your not a good rider it would be foolish to try and keep up with these guys without hurting yourself. Better to go your own pace and set your own record not someone elses.

But it doesn't mean that a nobody like me cant go on this ride and get all hyped up in the emotion of the day and go and have a bloody good old fang.

Let the adventure begin. I need some advice, please no smart ass comments. - Do I play my IPOD really loud all the way out there or listen to the growly noises from below.

Its been a bloody good engine, cant complain, took me and Aaron to Poon last year. been dusted a few times. After this ride it will be time to split the case again and get in to its heart.

The plan is to flush it out with petrol a couple of times, fresh oil and filter. Ride it up to Coffs and change the oil filter and cut it at Borris's place. If its not to bad I will run it out to Bourke and change put another filter in it and make a decision whether I go any further or not.
Yeah, but wont be tring to keep up with the front runners this year and no KLX flybyes. But when she blows I'll try and catch it on the gopro.

Thanks guys.
