I have some obligations this weekend and I'm waiting for some fork seals to come in anyway. It started leaking and I wanted to get it sealed up before I took it out again. Dripped like a capful on the floor after my last ride.

Other than powerlines, any other "trails" around here? I did ride powerllines as a teenager some. Had to exit out on some people's property on occasion.

Places to ride

I know in Randolph County there is nothing. All private land down here. I have a few kin folks that will let me ride, but mostly I have to load up and go somewhere else. I do ride alittle at Zoocity Mx. There is Twin Oaks Mx west of Asheboro, they have a mx track and a 5.5 woods loop.

Looks like I am going to Broxton after all. Hoping to hook up with a local guy to help me with the format of enduro racing since all I've ever raced is harescrambles. What is on Sat.? The dualsport stuff? Could take my plated bike and my yz..... Wonder if the dualsport stuff is any good or if it's just dirt roads?

Broxton Bridge

Its all Dual Sport on Saturday, enduro Sunday. Looks like a good mix of trails, dirt roads, and a little pavement. I am not sure of the mileage Saturday. Looks like a good time. Seems like when they have had dual sport rides on Saturday, they have had about a hundred mile ride.

I rode my first Dual Sport ride today at Broxton Bridge. We rode 120miles of very good mix, dirt roads, fire roads, tight stuff, paved roads. We rode a few of the sections that the enduro race will ride tomorrow. I had a blast!!, and I'am beat!!! Th 81' XL500 ran great!!

I race alot of hare scrambles on weekends but I will let that go for a dual sport ride ever now and then. Thanks, Gene

Wish I had seen this a little earlier. I'm not far from Liberty. Drop me a line next time you want to ride.

Just walked in the door from the Broxton Enduro, it was my first enduro, all I can say is wow, enduro's are tough, harescrambles are child's play in comparison. Several of the guys I was with for the enduro were down on Sat also, for the d/s ride. They collectively thought the route had a little too much dirt roads and pavement for their tastes. Kind of what I expected.

I rode my 1982 IT175 at Outback ATV Park today. Its the site of the first Mid-East hare scramble in Feb. It's a good place to ride and only 1.5 hrs from Asheboro.

The trails at Outback are all sand trails. Lots of fire roads, 4-wheeler wide trails. It's like Bosco Beach trails without all the crazyness. They do let 4-wheeler and bikes ride. Yesterday, there must have been 60-75 bikes and maybe 12 4-wheelers. The guys at the gate said they have big plans for the place. They want to lease more land, they have 700 acres now, and want 500 more. They are putting power and water hook-ups at camp sites. They are having a big party weekend for the first Mid-East race weekend, with food, and music. I plan to race Mid-East this year.

Great course, raced there several times, they call it "county line" in the NCHSA schedule. Where did you find the flier or info? When is the race?

Outlw Hare Scramble

I have only seen the flyier on Facebook. The bike race is this coming weekend. Its about the same as a NCHSA race. Pro and A and some B riders at 12 noon. B and C riders at 3pm. I think Alan and the NCHSA will be scoreing the race.
