Need windshield reviews for DR650

I've tried the Slipstreamer Spitfire, but, with oversized bars, handguard mounts, GPS, Safari tank, a bar mounted windscreen just does not work for me.

If you have the Laminar from Procycle, or the Cee Bailey Sport, let me know how you like them!

Love the Laminar Lip from Procycle. Keeps the pressure off my chest, but my helmet is in clean air. Makes the freeway segment of my commute a lot more pleasant.

Are you finding that the dual locks work well or did you screw it in place?

Thanks for the pic DRTrev, but I'm looking for information as well as pics. Does it add turbulence and noise to the helmet area? How far above the headlight shroud is the top?

I use the laminar lip with success. I used the dual locks but did add a couple of screws for good measure. I did also have to add a couple of little braces to the fairing becuase it would flex too much at higher speeds with the added pressure.

I'll hop in here. I have that Screensforbikes shield on mine. When I installed it, I tried taping it to the fairing in different locations before drilling the holes to feel where it was best. I ended up with it as low as I could put it.

It keeps the wind off my chest, and the rush comes in right around my neck. It's just a little too tall, and I am going to experiment with some repositioning to fix this, then trim the top accordingly and reinstall with the original holes. The air comes up under my helmet and I get extra wind noise. I even put one of those elastic neck hugger things on my helmet to block it which helped, but still too much noise. If I stick my head up by straightening my back way up, I can eliminate this and get into nice quiet clean air. I am 6' tall to give you an idea of how I sit on the bike.

However I do like the way it mounts and doesn't clutter up the bars with mounting brackets.

I used the dual locks ("super velcro"). Hasn't moved one iota since installation. In fact, I wouldn't look forward to having to take it off, although allegedly the dual locks can be separated with a thin,dull blade (perhaps a table knife).

And, at least up to 80mph, it doesn't flex the cowling too much.

I didn't want a handlebar-mounted screen, nor a tall screen. The Laminar Lip does the trick for me.

Similar experience to Rascal's really, and then it varied due to whichever helmet I wa wearing....

I guess two elements of different opinions could surround the height of the rider, I'm 6'4", and where you locate the screen on the front.....as stated, it is adjustable to some degree. Another trick to the DR's, is to undo the side bolts to the plastic headlight surround and, with the use of small brackets, lean the surround forward a few degrees. I found that to be the greatest adjustment of them all, and made a huge difference to the overall effect. Plenty of trial and error needed to get it right for the individual.

I enjoyed the screen and it made riding a greater pleasure and I guess I thought they were the best looking ones around - especially with the options for tints. I don't have the bike to do any measurements for you.

The extended screen on my XT660Z Tenere is a gem though, taller is better for me.

I made this windscreen from some 1/8" Lexan. I added 3 sets of holes for offroad, dual sport and highway. I have a stock VStrom windshield which will mount to the same holes. (untested at this point)
I used DRTrev's recommedation of moving the shroud forward for some adjustment and also to create some space for a small dash area.
I plan to make a slightly wider version to try and get a little more wind protection
