I can say that I have had MM10's on all our bikes (5) with 4 or them for over a year (on one bike 2 years) and only one set of them has dulled/discolored on top. The lights take lots of abuse/exposure so I havent tried polishing or cleaning them and not sure if that might help.

Send us an email - info@mondomotos.com if you want to discuss replacement/repair.

Mine have bronzed up, but she stays in the garage when at home. That said, she's a '97, and certainly no garage queen. I won't even paint up the crash damages. For me it's just more character. I do not think it's caused (at least primarily) by sun. My thought is cleaning ........stuff.

It is certainly no deal breaker for me. Thanks for a useful/good product at a reasonable price.

Thanks for the input.

I believe in total transparency/full disclosure (we are small, family run business and in no way getting rich) - I did some research yesterday and from what I have been able to determine, the most likely cause is an inadequate seal coat on the lights that have faded/bronzed. We have passed this on to our manufacturer/suppler and doing what we can to try to isolate/resolve it in the future.

That said, not all the lights are bronzing and in no way does it effect the function or performance.

Another smart person leaves Michigan. I'm envious and congratulations. I need to order or pick up another set of your MM10s before you guys leave

The sale price would appear to be better than the 10%. Buy now, buy often!

Its been a move thats been on our minds and in the making for a long time. After one too many long winters things fell into place. Can't say what I'll miss most - the roads or the weather here

Not too say its all bad... there is lots of good stuff in the northern part of the state.. but I've ridden all of it more than a few times. If you're not a member of GLDS its well worth checking out. Expedition Michigan route will keep you busy for a while as well.

Yes please! I'll likely be taking you up on your offer tonight.

One question though.... I'm planning to add the IQ-175 to my order, and need to clarify one detail on the wiring diagram. The YELLOW wire goes to an optional switch, but where does the OTHER wire on the switch go (I'm guessing to power, which would replace the RED wire and the RED wouldn't be used if a switch is used)???

Actually, it is a good question.
I have done install and it's all works fine for me, but I was pretty confused by diagram posted on your website and ended up using this instead:
http://www.lights.skenedesign.com/IQ_175_Wiring.html
Since you now offering IQ 175 with MM10s, I would suggest to change your instructions accordingly and make sure you have wiring diagram for
MM10s + IQ 175 and
MM10s + IQ 175 + optional switch on your website…

Cheers!

Thanks gleyfman; this is a super helpful link. I didn't know there were so many wiring options.

I just ordered my second MM10 set, & the new dimmer. I'm very excited about the added functionality of the dimmer.

I'd recommend editing the description of the IQ-175. I know it's copied from the manufacturer's site, but it isn't immediately clear that the 'Alert feature' is only on the IQ0175A, and not the IQ-175 offered.

Brian, would you recommend that I add an additional UV treatment to the lights?

(Wishing you a smooth, and speedy move.)
