I learned to ride on an '02 Katana 750, so riding this bike is like getting back to my roots. It is SO nice. I can't believe the difference between it and the shadow. It's like this is a motorcycle and the shadow was a two-wheeled tractor! Definitely happy with the trade.

Now to figure out saddle bags...
Great looking ride mate.

I was not planning on posting the new tag until after work. But if you want a place to ride during lunch, I will throw a photo up. I have the new tag in mind and was going to snag a picture on the way home. I can always do that another time....

Do your regular thing King. I don't have much time to ride at lunch and that one was close enough to make. Most anything else would be out of reach during lunch. Take us where you were thinking. Nicer weather brings more riding opportunities anyway!

need dual sport bikes for working expo Saturday

Station Break..
Appeal for help. Reposted from the Raleigh Durham Area. This will be in Saxapahaw, south of Burlington. Help is needed now. If you fit the bill on this and can help get up with Steveize right now. He is worried as it is this Saturday and he doesn't have enough bikes yet.

Here is the original post.

NCS

Need 125 and 250 dual sports in NC for medical expo

Hi, Capitol BMW has been asked to help with Riders For Health.. A orginization that puts doctors and health care workers on motorcycles and makes trips to remote villages in Africa...

The expo is April 20 im Saxapahaw at the ball room in NC . Ideally, if we had 10 dual sports so their rider can do a walk through on how to pre trip your bike. The bikes will not be ridden, just a pre trip. Oil, gas, etc. time would be 830 am to appx 3pm. And a tool kit. Basic screw driver etc...she will welcome input from the owners too...

Hawriverballroom.com is the venue then look at events switch point is the conference we would be supporting. This is a good chance to let the public see motorcyclists care, are concerned and some good karma. Pm me here, sound off here, let's see if we can get 10 bikes. Thanks Steve Capitol BMW Raleigh NC

I'll check with my boss to see what's going on this weekend. I'd be happy to contribute as I think my bike fits squarely into the category they're looking to cover.

Schedule confirmed clear, PM sent to Steve.

Another off topic request:

I have the opportunity to ride from Greensboro to Lewisburg, PA for a conference I'm attending next week up there (originally I was going to drive up with another guy, but he's had to back out last minute). But, my saddlebags and tankbag I ordered the other day won't get here until after I'm already gone.

Sooooo: does anyone have a tank bag they'd be willing to let me borrow for a week? Pretty please? I'll pay to replace it if it gets lost, damaged, or stolen (obviously).

For a cheap waterproof duffel bag in a pinch, you can't beat Gander Mountain's boat bags. They strap down pretty well and keep your stuff dry for $25. I use them in my hack all the time, and throw it over the backseat of the two-wheelers when I need extra capacity.
