Maybe I made that one too easy... or the weather finally doesn't suck!

We've got a great week ahead of us!

No such thing as too easy, better to be easy than waste riding time playing CSI, especially with this weather.

TAG #14
This next tag is about 35 miles south west of tag #13. In the beautiful county of Rowan.
In 1900, while building a dam and cutting timber for a textile mill about 2000 yards down stream, a man was using his Bull to drag logs across the stream. At this site there was about 22 feet of drop. Anyway, the Bull slipped into a Hole in the river bed and disappeared forever. The man was so distraught that he had to be restrained from going in after the Bull. From this date in 1900 this dam and section of the river was named for this incident.
There also was rumors that high school students from near by West Rowan and Davie in the late 60's went skinny dipping here, with no clothes on, naked. But that is just a rumor.
In 2002 this was made into a river park and named after the near by community. But the old name stuck.
The first picture is the site and the second is the tag. The dam and falls is about 200 yards from the tag.

This is the Tag

Another clue and legend:
Legend has it that an Indian brave bent down on a hot day next to the river, cupped his hands and brought water to his lips. He exclaimed, “Cool-ee-me.”

Come on king I use to live a half a mile from there. That's twice you have dropped it on roads i know well. Nice bike roads out there. The one that goes by the winery is a blast. If I can get the garden done soon enough...

If it isn't too obvious, you tell the roads I like to travel. I really like it in northern Stokes and Surry counties. You are burning daylight, finish that Garden already! Let's see where you like to ride.
