At the end of the day, they do the same job and they do it well.
It boils down to preference and who supports their product better and covers replacements better. Another preference would be if you want a full system replacement (EM) where in you can have an entire back up system on the shelf or if you want a more simple component replacement system where most parts are contained in the timing cover. I've heard bad things for both, but they still are both incredible systems...hands down. If I had 2 bmw's, I'd be more than happy to run both systems. I preferred replacing my entire system (EM) which really, really has come in handy because I've handed down my old system to friends and brother to fix their dying stock systems. I don't have a back up now...owell.

Silica on the smaller parts that fit in the cabinet and soda on the bottom end.
