Good new book - KLR 650 road trip.

I just finished reading this book and really enjoyed it and figured the KLR guys would really like it, and enjoy reading what kind of miles these bikes are really capable of, and the 2 maniacs riding them in the book !!!
The book is called -PASSION IN THE WIND by Alan Leduc and it is about him and Tim Yow riding their KLR 650's on a circumnavigation of the USA and Canada riding 23,000+ miles with 2,700+ miles of gravel in 48 days and certifying it with the Iron Butt Association, and Alan is 60 years old and Tim Yow is 68 years old !!!!
It is available on Kindle and Nook and the book can be ordered from Alan. There is a link on the MTF (motorcycle tourers forum) website in one of the forums to order the hard copy.
I downloaded it off kindle for 2.99, a bargain read.

Your all welcome, its a great ride report.
Also, you may want to check out the Motorcycle Tourers Forum website, which Alan Leduc started in 2001 and Tim Yow is a big part of it.
All the members are excellant and they put together alot of interesting rides every year.
I went to their founders feast at Iron Horse lodge in North Carolina this past september and had a great time.
Alot of the members frequent Advrider also.

Man, that sounds just great, for someone like me who hasn't riden street bikes only dirt and I just started at age 43. These guys do inspire me. And for that matter alot of YOU GOOD FOLKS, have done the same. For me it's the FEAR FACTOR. though I'm thinking of getting a KLR, maybe this year.

Yeah, it seems our limitations are almost always mental.
You will really enjoy the book, it is inspiring.
