VFR after market headers, Help

OK i have a 2011 honda vfr800, you know the one.

Brought a set of headers, from Sandy bike supply on ebay, from the UK (im in Oz) the price was right.
http://myworld.ebay.com.au/sandybike...id=p4340.l2559

I tried fitting them yesterday, managed to destroy the gaskets, so ordered some more.

ive tried dry fitting them up today, with out gaskets.

its a tight tight fit onto the collectors the bottom collector appears to be on the very right of teh down pipes, the down pipes are slightly loose too., but i managedt to get a jack under it, when the bikes all up on stands, and get the bolt on the bottom on (where the origional cat bolts to the bottom of the block under the side stand that u motads dont have.

The front left down pipe is about 1cm away from the block, this pipe goes under the front right cylinder pipe, so it wont bend.

im not thrilled with the angle of the front right pipe either, seems like its not flush.

1>Now, what do i do, give up, put the origionals back on with the stain tunes i just brought to go with it
2>Take it to an exhaust shop, say heres large sum of money, fix and solve my headache.
3>have a hissy fit, throw them around, throw my self on the ground, scream and kick and throw my arms around?

would you recomend fitting the front headers, with force, and bending the exhaust in the shape on the bike?

I have a huge amount of experience with bending, breaking, cracking, and destroying header pipes, but unfortunately not on a VFR.

Any chance you could post pics of the fitment?

its just the best way to modify them to fit, i think bending them on the bike would be the easiest way, but im worried it might break an exhaust stud off.

i supose i could get some mates a rubber hammer, and a torch if it requires a lot of bending,b ut theri is some spring in them.

dont seem to have one of the front cylinders, ill get one later

yeah im on a few of those, been reading the vfrworld how to fit the motard headers, which are quight similar, which are a 4-2-1, this system is just an origional system, the cross over pipes at the rear are crossed over like the origional, and its a 4-1 system.

all this effort to remove the cat

by jove, ive done it, i think, it just requires, a hammer, muscles (which i dont have) and fine patience, i connected the front ones up, belting it with a hammer until it fits, it seems twisting is limited by teh side stand making it difficult.

the mount underneeth only has 1 bracket, where as the oem has 2, which side should it go on, i managed to get it on the left side, its not quight lined up though and hte exhaust rests agaisnt the frame, i suspect it should go on the right, ive left it jacked up into place, in some form of hopes that it will sorta form its shape, i havnt got the gaskets in yet.

well, its connected up right now, with one gasket missing, coz it got eaten and broke in half. i started it up, gas spewed out the missing gasket, and a slight leak front left cylinder. dry fitted the stain tunes, fits fine with the panniers, Put the rubber on teh centre stand block, holds the stand fine, well off the chain.
only thign ive gota do, pull it all appart again, put the new gaskets in when they arriive, the take the mufflers off, apply some gasket goo, to all the joints, im surprized, the staintunes have no brackets, its all press fit. then the link pipe. might find a torque wrench and torque up the nuts too.
Otherwise, shes all go, after initial throw the thing in the bin moments, it seems to fit, i think the biggest problem was, trying to follow the motad fitment guide, it dont work with this, do it the other way around, start at the front.

First start is a bit smokey,

i installed the K&N High flow air filter, and 2nd start less smoky, didnt smell like ritch unburnt fuel, so i think its stuff burning off.

Slight exhaust leak in one of the down pipes, hopefully, all the stuff i packed in it that expands when heated, the manifold sealant, will fix that.

the stain tune doesnt require a gasket to fit on the exhaust-extractor system.

the yamaha downpipe gaskets are too big (maybe motad only fit) that was ment to fit.
