Happy New Year! I'm a day late because I spent the day on the bike yesterday on a fantastic ride,,,, to the Blue Ridge and over to the Potomac before heading home.

How many are planning on riding up? How many are trailering? My friend Dan (690R) and I are planning to attend and would like to trailer to somewhere across the border that is convenient to the start and the finish.

Xmoto should be on that list also. I think you'll find 99% will be riding up. I think as the time gets closer we'll be grouping up. I can't wait for this ride again!

Sounds good! Are you still getting a new tank for the SE?

No, I've always been able to find fuel every 100 miles.

Last year I brought a couple MSR bottles but the brackets broke on the first day and I lost both. I'll bring a couple more this more securely attached.

Probably too pricey and not needed for this trip but I thought it was neat that it's available...

http://justgastanks.com/product_info...oducts_id=1053

I have a Kolpin 1.5 gal and side mount for my WR but don't see the need to take it on this trip. With the 3.1 gal tank I can usually go 100-120 miles before the light comes on and then have just over half gallon to find a station.

I think I'm going to carry a 1 gallon Rotopax. I'll let you borrow some fuel

I took my 16 year old nephew out riding for a few hours today. He learned to use a clutch on a 1000cc quad.

Might take you up on those. I have a pair of the Wolfman carriers for the MS bottles but haven't found a place to fasten them yet.

I'm pretty sure you'll be fine with the F800.

Once they get the route squared away and figure out the fuel stops we'll have a better idea of what we need.
