It always seems impossible to capture in a photo just how steep a section is. I think you managed to do it, though.

Your editing software shoud have an option as to what resolution and format to save the clip as. The go pro is going to save it in an avi format which has no compression. So simply saving it as a mpeg or other compressed format will shrink it down with effecting resolution. Changing the resolution will shrink it even more.

At least thats how it works on the one I stole from bk.rd.rnr not sure about the HD ones

if you have windows 7 it should come with windows movie maker. That will do the job and not cost you anything

Wait until you get the HD one It takes forever to process the video in and out of the editing software, huge files. Your best bet is to take a series of short video's, because leaving the camera on gets all the BS stuff that you'll trim out anyway. I filled an 80 GB hard drive pretty fast with the content from two cameras

I have windows movie maker, but just learned how to trim a video and that about it. I read some where about using a converter to change the format for faster uploads, is that right? I had a video that I trimmed down to 2 min's on windows movie maker, saved it to my desktop. I went to upload to youtube and it said 240 min's so I canceled it. This new stuff is frustrating. I guess I am getting old.

Stop using a 2400baud modem?

Don't compress the video too much, as it looses quality when you do that. It'll look like crap when you post it. But that may not matter.
