got all suited up, went out, felt the wet slick on the road (that will turn to ice shortly), went inside, blogged about it.

I rode today as well. I was asking if he rode the midnight ride. Also Barry, it is rude to ignore PM's.

If you grow up, you can't be like me. I'm stuck at the maturity level of a teenager. Keeps me "young"!

Sorry, I missed that one. I really don't like the PM format. Send me an e-mail, and I'll try and answer your question.

p.s., "rude"? Ever hear of the expression "The pot calling the kettle black"?

umm so here's what i got for pics and a report from the last ride

there wasn't anywhere close to the weather like ride one, but there were some flurries as i headed off. some minor rerouting because of night work on the Brooklyn Bridge on my way out. The GPS seemed to be okay as i chose to go over the Manhattan Bridge instead. It routed me fine through the side streets and on to the FDR. The planned route was going to cut through some parts of the recently ridden (and finished 3rd time was the charm) original Midnight Ride. Turn around point was to be by the town of Whippoorwill. Not sure at what point the GPS misled me. Where i wound up was Norwalk, CT. Once i got off the FDR the skies seemed to open up in a clear kind of way. Chilly out but not freezing. It was an uneventful, minus getting lost, yet enjoyable ride.

the start

the point of return

March

March start point will be in the Queens. 12th Street and 43rd Road, Queens, NY. Nothing there but a rock so i will bring a box of joe and some donuts.

To clarify for those that need it, sallydog, this is happening Sunday night the 11th into Monday morning the 12th. One week from tonight in fact. Perhaps some of you should practice.
