I wear whatever I want when I ride (unless I'm somewhere that the law dictates differently). I'll ride with anyone, no matter what they wear, or what they ride. I don't really care about any of that crap!
What I want to know is this: Women know that for some reason, when they fight, men expect them to rip each others clothes off and slowly rub mud all over each others boobs. So why don't they do it?

errrr....
How about live and let die?
or... A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds I'll be concerned about what I'm wearing and how I'm riding. I expect others to do the same for themselves. |

I always wear a FF helmet, gloves, and boots, On very rare occasions I wont wear a jacket, but almost always do. Unless cold or wet require rain pants or my insulated suit I just wear jeans or work pants. I never wear any sort of armor and chose my riding jacket specifically because it doesn't have any.
I realize there is a greater margin of risk because if what I wear, but it is fairly marginal. ATGATT using the best gear available may be "safer" but it still doesn't make riding "safe". I think a few people may be in denial in that regard.
