Joel, if I could please get a site with power that would be great or at least a place close to where I could plug in for a few hours a day to charge batteries if necessary. ( otherwise I'll just run a little gen if I need too)
Thanks, Eric

let me enlighten you

what's the carbon footprint of 200 paper plates against 100 camping plates to transport and wash 2x? you mentioned cradle to grave one time...that's not good enough. it gotta be womb to tomb. |

hi eric, all the cheap sites have water only, the rv full hook up will have the power, except they are 2x as much per day. or take the site closest to the rv sites and run an extension cord. j |

But...
Hey FYYFF, mine isn't a GS, it's a Roadster. Street tires, no skid plate. Anybody who's seen me ride in the sand knows this would be a bad idea.

going back to the trash issue and overflowing the dumpster.
the plates and utentsils are the least we have to worry. people bring boxes, packaging and all kinds of bulky stuff that end up in the trash. last year, i saw broken chairs, and dilapidated camping equipment and gear. majority of us are trucking. we should have enough room in our vehicles to bring home the shit we bring. let's take responsibility of our actions. psr is in the middle of the desert, it takes a lot of effort for them to clean the area and dispose our trash. once the ravens get hold of them, our shit will be over the desert. if the dumpster is full.....it is full, do not pile anything on top, neither put your trash next to the full dumpster. please help us by giving your full cooperation. |

Remember when we bailed out of that silly "easy" ride @ WMRS a couple of years ago? ![]() What happened to the little WR? There's a lot of good street riding and you can follow along on the easy route from camp to Beatty, Rhyolite, and Ubehebe if you'd like. I've never been to Badwater and wouldn't mind seeing it this time.

True Noob here.
I've been wanting to do this for a couple years now. I'm in.
Joel (yes Joel), pearlite, trucking in (staying in tent), DRZ400s, 2 nights 2 dinners. I live in Rancho cucamonga and can help take anything i can fit in my truck. |

pearl, we love to have more nOObs and lurkers showing up. this is what this event is all about, to provide opportunity for nOObs and returning riders to ride and feel at home. thanks for your offer, though there's no need for it if everyone will do their part. my favorite is when you call me "yes joel". we will have rides for nOObs. i remember 2 or 3 years ago, i was holding the hands of some nooby riders, and now they're a lot better than me. also see if you can truck pool with someone and share the gas, and the same time you got company. |

Got schooled by the boys and girls from Mammoth that trip. After I abandoned all hope and turned around, the rest of the day was great.
The Yamaha went north with Syspig, hopefully he'll show up at one of these. I've ridden through and around DV on street bikes a few times. If I bring it, we'll hit Badwater and the museum at Furnace Creek. C2 Quote:
