Should I buy this 2007 990 Adventure

I have the opportunity to buy this bike with 22,300 miles for $5500. It runs good and is in good condition. It is stock. How is this price?

If it's in good condition that's a killer price where I am (Pacific North West). You could flip it and make a couple grand.

Less contemplating and more buying is what should be happening, if not already. Buy it while you still can.

Buy IT

I bought an 2007 with 29K on it in December 2013 for same price and feel I got a great deal. I did shortly there after fix the water pump which is not uncommon and easy enough fix. Had a few other issues but couldn't be happier with the bike or the price!

I'm new to this site but not to riding. I just bought a real nice 2004 Adventure S for 5800.00 with 30000 miles on her from a member on this site. The bike has tons of Farkles. Safari Tanks, wings two into one exhaust, KTM tall windshield Euro headlight with HID all service records, redone suspension, custom made panniers and tail rack, rejetted, and a tone of extra more stuff. I'm in the process of cleaner her up, taken her completely apart and doing a complete service on her. I was worried about the mileage but it's rock solid. Very happy with the bike. I look forward to asking all kinds of question here. But I'll make sure that I use the search function first!

I've owned my 2007 990 since new. Over 80,000 km on it, no issues yet. it does have a healthy apatite for rear tires.

On the 2007 I am looking at (22,300 miles) that has only had oil changes and new batteries what should I expect to have to replace or check?

Check valves? engine runs great but should I get them checked anyway?
Water pump?
How many miles do you usually get on a set of sprockets and chain?
Should I go to a 16 front sprocket? It is a bit snatchy in 1st gear

Anything else?

I have a 2007 990 with 51,000 miles. Besides regular maintenance the only thing I've replaced is a worn clutch pack and the waterpump shaft/seal.
And I still have all the emissions crap. It's been to the Arctic Circle and back and all over the western states.

Buy it and ride it. You'll figure out the rest.
