The problem I see with Gwinn/up is distance. If your in SWMi, Gwinn, etc., is a long haul for a weekend rally. Your talking most of 1day to get there and another to get back. That and for the ol' sexagenarian, a 400+mi ride on the XR600 on asphalt to get there ain't in my bones no more!

As for the weekend.....will get back to you after the Gilmore bike show weekend date is announced.

I'm pretty sure that we will be in THOMPSONVILLE, MI, June 14-17..............This weekend seems to work well, and allows a few of us to attend the Gilmore Classic Motorcycle. Saturday is a vintage ride, and Sunday is the show. I highly reccomend this show to anyone that has the least bit of interest in motorcyles. Great event, demos, swap meet, and last year they had a mini motard track. I appreciate all the insight, I love the U.P. as well, but it becomes hard to justify travel time for a long weekend. I would like to keep it closer for the folks here in S.W. Michigan.

Cheers, lookig forward to another year, right now I'm looking forward to riding the sled in all this new snow

hmmmmm...do I mount a winch on the front of the hack......or do I just ride the XR600......decisions, decisions......or do I remove the tub from the hack, mount a channel and haul the XR up on the hack....

We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating; the GS handles in ways a two-story building was never meant to.

Taking collections for Faye Butler Training please spare some change.

Remember red and yellow make orange.so to think orange is better means you have to use two steps to get there.

IN AGAIN!!!!

This is such a great event. I'll be riding northbound from the Milwaukee area through the UP to the event if anyone wants to join in. It is a nice trip.

I am IN!

If you make up a flyer I will gladly spread them around the T.C. area.
It was so much fun last year it wouldn't be right to miss this one!
I will be bringing canoes again this year for your after ride enjoyment.
If there is anything else I can do to help let me know.

Atv

Might get some interest by sending the info along to the Benzie ATV Association, Thompsonville is their turf where they meet every month (I know this because I have been attempting to go to a meeting for the last 1.5 years but have either been on nights or had duty, or been out of town every time a meeting comes around) but they might provide some more interest.

Cheers!

ATVs and bikes? do they mix well?

I donate $$$ to group by buying trail map at gas station and drop extra in box.
I am a friend of all trail users especially ones that keep land open and operating for off-roaders. I even would like to ride a Kawasaki 700 or yzf450. but.....
One of these in front of me on the KTM would really wreck my ride I think.
Like a big ole winnebago blocking the road when I am out on the VFR trying to tear up some NC twisties. No disrespect to ATVs, they belong out there, especially locals but let faster riders on 2 wheels get out first on a ride.
I like the gas on and not a putt-putt tour is all. I am sure they are fast ATVers and zero disrespect to the group or ATVs. Just my comments on.... Ryan needs to make a call on this as he is the party master host of event, group leader. I'd say a nice gesture is to say hello, make friends with ATV group, buy their maps and donate a few bucks to group.

Couldn't agree more, I was just willing to put a bet down that a handful of those ATV'ers might also be into bike riding. That being said whenever I am riding on my YFZ450 with some bikers I generally ride behind because I make some pretty bad roost, granted my riding buddy on his KTM 125 will give a bad roost, it doesn't seem as constant or often. Plus hes a bit slower rider then me and if I am in front I lose him

Cheers!
